The library at NIFT – TEA College of knitwear Fashion is spread over an area of 5400 Sq .ft with a seating capacity of 100. The well furnished and spacious library contributes towards satisfying the intellectual thirst of its users. Library is well equipped with the text books, Reference materials, Journals, Magazines and Newspaper

LIBRARY RULES

All Students and Staff must wear Identity card while entering the library.
Perfect silence must be maintained inside the library. Cell phones should be kept in silent mode or switched off. Strict silence and decorum must be observed inside the library. The librarian may ask the student to leave the library hall and refuse to issue books for breach of any of the library rules.
All personal belongings should be deposited at the rack, which is kept outside the library and college will not be responsible for any theft / damage to their belongings.
The Student absence for the college will not be admitted as an excuse for the delay in returning the books. They have to return the book on any working day from Monday to Saturday.
Books will not be issued to those who have failed to return them before due date and they can avail the books only after paying the relevant fines.
The librarian may recall any book at any time from a student even if the usage period has not expired.
Normally dictionaries, Reference books, Journals, Magazines and works on art will not be lent out. However on a special written request to the librarian / principal, those books may be issued to the staff for a day only.
Members are expected to handle the books with care and if a book is lost or damaged, the member is responsible for the replacement of the book or he / she should pay the amount of the cost of the books.
Any markings, underlining, writings or soiling of the paper or tearing away the pages of the books are strictly forbidden.
The member who has used the book shall be held responsible for all defects, if he / she do not point out the defects at the time of borrowing.
Book Return / Renewal are informed to the user two days in advance of Return / Renewal date through SMS.
