B.Sc Fashion Apparel Management

The B.Sc. (Fashion Apparel Management) programme prepares the students to be qualified for diverse work profiles of the apparel sector. Considering the varied nature of challenges faced by the industry, the course curriculum is developed with various essential subjects that includes Fashion Concepts, Fashion Communication, Fibres & Yarns, Fabric Manufacture, Processing, Apparel Manufacturing, Garment Machineries, Merchandising, Quality Assurance, Costing & Documentation etc.

The course introduces students to the managerial aspects of a business through the subjects such as fundamentals of Management, Human Resource Planning, Accounting, Marketing, Retailing. It imparts extensive knowledge through practical subjects such as Fabric Analysis, Quality Testing, Pattern Preparation, CAD and Sewing. Industrial Visits, Internship and Project work helps the students to understand the practical aspects of the industry such as Production Planning, Manufacturing, Merchandising, and Quality Control providing essential operational knowledge relating to future work profiles.
