What is TEA?

The Tiruppur Exporters Association (TEA) is the principal organisation representing knitwear and garment exporters in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu. Established in 1990, TEA unites exporters under a common platform to promote growth, improve competitiveness, and strengthen the global position of Tiruppurs knitwear industry.

Key Achievements of TEA

TEA has played a transformative role in shaping Tiruppur into a globally recognised knitwear export destination. Major achievements include:

  1. Establishment of the Tirupur Export Knitwear Industrial Complex- A 100 acre industrial cluster with 189 well-equipped industrial sheds and complete infrastructure, developed to decongest the city and boost export production capacity.
  2. Facilitation of Export Logistics (Inland Container Terminal)- Enabling exporters to complete customs and shipping procedures locally, reducing transit delays and improving export efficiency.
  3. Creation of TEA Public School- Providing quality CBSE education up to 12th standard as part of TEA commitment to community welfare.
  4. Development of TEAKTEX Processing Facilities- Improving processing, finishing, and export readiness of knitwear products.
  5. Implementation of Major Water & Sewage Projects (through NTADCL)-Strengthening the citys infrastructure and sustainability across industries and residential areas.
