Association Inaugural and Fresher’s Welcome - Fashion Apparel Management Department
Association Inaugural and fresher’s welcome function of the department of Fashion Apparel Management in NIFT-TEA college of Knitwear Fashion was conducted today. Dr.K.P.Balakrishnan, Principal, NIFT-TEA College presided over the function and Shri A D Sathishkumar, Managing Director, Innotex materials Private Limited was the chief guest. In his address, Shri A D Sathishkumar says that, “Knitwear fashion industry is a dynamic one which has changes and innovation every day. Hence continuous update about the process and technology innovations happening in the industry is required. Students have to think globally and have to identify their uniqueness which is mantra to be pioneer in the business. Students should be interested in knowing the current business trends and scenario apart from curriculum based learning.” At the end of the program, resource person shared his experience with Students and clarified their doubts. Mr.G.Sriram & Mr.V.Kavin of III year Fashion Apparel Management are elected as President and Secretary. Mr. N.Karthick and Mr.R.Sujay prabhakar of II Year are elected as Vice President & Joint Secretary and Mr.Sachin Kumar Singh & Mr. G.K.Kabileshkumar of I year are the members of the Association. Students of B.Sc Fashion Apparel Management & B.Sc Apparel Production Technology were participated in the program. Dr.K.P.Balakrishnan, Principal, NIFT TEA college delivered presidential address and Dr.P.P.Gopalakrishnan, HoD, Department of Fashion Apparel Management welcomed the gathering. The function concluded with vote of thanks by Mr.K.Kannan Assistant Professor. Program was coordinated by department faculty members Mr. K.Balamurugan Assistant Professor, Dr.N.Velmathi, Assistant Professor.
