MERCH - Association Inaugural Function
Department of Apparel Manufacturing and Merchandising of NIFT-TEA College of Knitwear Fashion, Tirupur has organized the “MERCH” Association Inaugural and Fresher’s day welcoming ceremony on 20/07/2018 Friday. The function has taken place in the college auditorium, in this juncture the department head Mr.V.Rajendran has welcomed the gathering next the podium gone to The College Principal Dr.K.P.Balakrishnan who presided over the function. Rotarian Mr.V.K.R.Senthilkumar , India Sub – continental Manager, TUC TUC Spain graces the function as chief guest and delivered his speech on scope the field. From his speech; The Role of Merchandiser takes important place in Tirupur knitwear industries and the playing omnipotent role. The merchandiser to be ready for any travel distances in the world this travel will bring innovative experience and learning. Without acquiring the knowledge and skills of merchandiser could not become a manufacturer and he is the person meets all the dimensions in and around the company of Industry. The merchandiser needs the skill of learning Multi languages, observing customer mindset, tracking business evolution, forecasting the future trend etc. students should acquire adequate knowledge from industry and education. The students of merchandising related field have great opening in future. Dr.A.Dayalarajan Vice Principal of the college, Mr.S.SenthilKumar, Rotarian Mr.P.Senthilkumar, Rotarian Mr.Tamizhagan, Rotarian Mr.R.Pavithran, the college Alumni and G.K.Garment Mr.G.K.Prakash are given their felicitation. Following this, new members of the MERCH Associations are introduced by the Chief Guest. III year student T.P.Logesh is selected as chairman, I Year Student Mr.Vignadharshan and Mr.Sibin Sabu are selected as vice Chairman, III year student Mr.Ranjith selected as Representatives of III year, II year students Mr.Pravin raj and Mr.Vishnuvardhan selected as Representative of II Year students, then for the First Year Mr.Kavinkumar and Mr.Karthi are selected as Representatives of first year students. In this function fashion show ,cultural and sports events are being taken place and the function concluded with vote of Thanks of Mrs.D.Anita Rachel Assistant Professor of AMM. All the necessary things are arranged by the Faculties of the AMM department Mr.P.Sankarakarthikeyan,Mrs. K.Prabhakumari,Dr.N.Sivakumar,Mr Arivazhagan,Mrs.P.Maheswari and Miss.G.Lekhasri.
